Dr. Daniel Gonzalez is board certified in Primary Care Sports Medicine and Family Medicine.Dr. Gonzalez graduated from The Pennsylvania State University where he was a member of the Crew Team and played Ice Hockey while leading international medical missions. He then went on to complete a dual-degree, MD/MPH, at St. George’s University where he was a member of the Keith B. Taylor Global Scholars Program which allowed him to spend a year training in Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. Dr. Gonzalez completed his Family Medicine Residency in Ohio at Summa Health System – Barberton Campus where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Summa Health and has experience in caring for a wide range of patients, from athletes (recreational to professional) to adolescents and older adults with acute and chronic musculoskeletal concerns.
Dr. Gonzalez is involved with local high schools and colleges and provides non-operative treatment options for those of all ages. He has training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and advanced procedures such as Tenex, PRP, and Iovera.
Although he will always be a Pennsylvanian (Go Penguins!), he now calls Sonoma County home with his wife, children, and cats. Outside of the office, you will find Dr. Gonzalez volunteering in the community, playing ice hockey, trail running, cycling, or on the golf course.
